A California preacher made the news worldwide when he used his own mathematical formula to predict the date of the rapture and subsequent destruction of the earth. The infamous date: Saturday May 21, 2011. That the preacher had already erroneously predicted the end of the world in 1994 made people breathe quite a bit easier. Some took to teasing their neighbors and social networking friends with photos such as the ones posted below. Just to be safe, Funny Grins waited until the predicted time of departure had passed before posting these pictures (hey, like most Americans, we’re God-fearing Christians plus we know the importance of timing in a good joke).
Note: Those crazy Mayans and their incompetent calendar skills produced a end-of-the-world scare with their proposed 12/21/12 end of the world date. These pictures are just as funny for persons who panicked over that date too.
